The pedestrian skywalk in Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad, is expected to be inaugurated within the next two months, according to Telangana Today.
The city of Hyderabad is set to add a new pedestrian skywalk in the Mehdipatnam area, with construction nearing completion. Telangana Today reports that the skywalk is slated for opening within the next two months, following a series of inspections and final touches by the municipal authorities.
The elevated walkway aims to provide a safer and more convenient crossing for residents and commuters, reducing traffic congestion on the busy roads below. It will connect key points in the locality, including commercial hubs and residential complexes.
Officials have highlighted that the project will improve pedestrian safety and ease the flow of foot traffic during peak hours. The skywalk is part of a broader initiative to upgrade infrastructure in the city’s high‑traffic zones.
Residents and local businesses are anticipating the new structure as a positive step toward better urban mobility and reduced road accidents in the area.
