Meghalaya Man Returns to Class 10 After 37 Years, 59-Year-Old Reclaims Education

A 59‑year‑old man from Meghalaya has re‑enrolled in Class 10 after a 37‑year break, having left school in his early teens. The local school in the state has welcomed him and will allow him to sit for the upcoming board examinations. He had to drop out earlier due to family responsibilities, but recent support from the Meghalaya Education Department has enabled him to resume his studies. His return has drawn attention to the importance of lifelong learning and has inspired others in the community to pursue education at any age. The state authorities have announced additional resources for adult learners to encourage similar initiatives.
