The state government of Meghalaya will roll out a digital learning programme across 31 schools in the East Khasi Hills district as a pilot project.
Meghalaya's education department announced a pilot initiative to integrate digital learning tools in thirty‑one schools located in the East Khasi Hills district. The programme aims to equip classrooms with interactive devices, broadband connectivity and curated e‑content to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
The pilot, funded by the state and supported by technology partners, will run for an initial period of one academic year, after which performance data will be evaluated to decide on wider rollout.
Officials said the move aligns with the government's broader goal of modernising education and bridging the digital divide in remote areas of the state. Training sessions for teachers are scheduled to begin next month to ensure effective use of the new resources.
