The Meghalaya state administration has invited the Khasi Students' Union to discuss a five‑point agenda aimed at addressing student concerns.

The state government of Meghalaya announced it will hold talks with the Khasi Students' Union (KSU) to deliberate on a five‑point agenda. The invitation was extended by the Chief Minister’s office, signalling a willingness to engage with student leaders on issues affecting the youth.
The agenda, though not fully disclosed, is expected to cover education policy, employment opportunities, infrastructure development in student hubs, cultural preservation, and mechanisms for grievance redressal. KSU officials have been asked to submit their proposals ahead of the meeting.
The move comes amid growing student activism across the state, with KSU previously staging protests over fee hikes and campus facilities. Government sources said the dialogue aims to foster cooperation and prevent further unrest.
The meeting is scheduled to take place in Shillong later this week, and both parties have indicated that a joint statement will be released after the discussions.
