Chief Minister Conrad Sangma announced a Bee Museum project to showcase Meghalaya's golden honey internationally.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma announced plans to establish a dedicated Bee Museum aimed at showcasing the state’s prized golden honey to an international audience.
The museum, slated for the capital Shillong, will house live hives, educational displays on apiculture and a marketplace for local beekeepers.
Sangma said the initiative will strengthen the honey sector, generate employment and position Meghalaya as a global hub for premium honey, complementing broader tourism and agricultural development goals.
Funding is expected from the state government and private partners, with construction targeted to begin later this year.
