Meghalaya has enhanced its rural employment scheme, increasing guaranteed workdays from 100 to 125 days annually through the adoption of the VB-GRAM G platform.
The government of Meghalaya has taken a significant step to bolster rural livelihoods by increasing the guaranteed employment days under its scheme. The state has adopted the VB-GRAM G platform to facilitate this enhancement.
Previously, the scheme provided 100 days of guaranteed employment to rural households. With the new initiative, this has been extended to 125 days, offering an additional 25 days of work opportunities for residents in rural areas.
This move is expected to provide a substantial boost to the income and economic stability of families in Meghalaya's villages, strengthening the rural economy.
