MD smuggler Ramniwas alias Ramu Vishnoi arrested in Nagaur after a year on the run

The anti‑Naxal task force (ANTF) in Nagaur announced that it has arrested Ramniwas, also called Ramu Vishnoi, who had been on the run for about a year. He was wanted for smuggling MD, a narcotic, and a bounty of 25,000 rupees had been announced for information leading to his capture. Police said the suspect regularly received the drug from Mumbai and distributed it across Nagaur district and surrounding villages. The operation, named “Daman”, culminated in his detention during a coordinated raid, according to officials. Authorities will now interrogate the detainee to uncover further links in the drug‑smuggling network.
