The body of a murder victim in Mansa was kept in a deep freezer at Mansar Civil Hospital for nearly 24 days, leading to extreme freezing. After 14 hours of thawing, a post‑mortem was conducted.

A body recovered in a murder case in Mansa was placed in the deep‑freezer section of Mansar Civil Hospital’s morgue for almost 24 days. The prolonged storage caused the corpse to become severely frozen, complicating forensic examination.

When authorities finally retrieved the body, it was still encased in ice. The morgue staff had to spend 14 hours carefully thawing the remains before any examination could begin.

After the thawing process, a post‑mortem was performed to determine the cause and time of death. The forensic team noted the challenges posed by the extreme freezing.

The case remains under investigation, with police continuing to probe the circumstances surrounding the murder and the delay in retrieving the body.
