Several students at MANIT Bhopal's hostels fell ill due to food poisoning. An investigation revealed that the mess was operating without a valid license and had serious hygiene issues.
An incident of food poisoning has been reported at the hostels of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) in Bhopal. Students residing in hostels number 9 and 11 were affected. The incident came to light after several students complained of illness. An investigation was promptly launched, which revealed some disturbing facts. The mess operating in the hostels was found to be running without a valid license, which is a serious breach of regulations. Furthermore, the water from the RO purifier was found to contain suspicious black particles, indicating a lack of proper maintenance and hygiene.
