Manipur Groups to Rally, Demanding SoO Pact Repeal

A significant rally is planned for October 31st in Manipur, organized by a coalition of tribal bodies and the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI). The primary objective of this demonstration is to call for the abrogation of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) pact. The SoO pact, a ceasefire agreement, has been in place for several years, aiming to bring peace to the region. However, the organizers of the rally believe that the pact has not been effective in achieving lasting peace and security.
