Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand stated on Thursday that the construction of the Imphal Ring Road will move forward after the land acquisition process is completed.
The 21‑kilometre ring road, which encircles the capital city of Imphal, has been a long‑promised infrastructure project aimed at easing traffic congestion and boosting connectivity in the region.
Khemchand said that the state government has secured the necessary land and is now preparing to mobilise contractors and allocate funds for the next phase of work.
The CM added that the project will be executed in stages, with the first segment expected to be completed by the end of the fiscal year, thereby improving travel times for commuters and supporting local economic growth.
