Mani Ratnam’s New Two-Hero Film to Feature Nani, Not Suriya

Mani Ratnam, known for classics like "Roja" and "Bombay", is set to return to the big screen with a new two‑hero film. The director has officially announced that the project will feature Telugu actor Nani in one of the lead roles, dispelling earlier rumours that Tamil superstar Suriya would be part of the cast. Sources close to the production say the decision was made to bring a fresh dynamic to the narrative, with Nani’s proven box‑office appeal in the Telugu market. While the exact storyline remains under wraps, industry insiders expect the film to blend Mani Ratnam’s signature storytelling with Nani’s charismatic screen presence. The project is slated for a 2025 release, with production expected to begin early next year.
