A man who had evaded police for 11 years in a case involving an attempted murder was arrested in Mangalore today.
Police in Mangalore arrested a suspect on Thursday after an 11‑year search. The arrest came after the suspect was located in a rented flat in the city.
The case dates back to 2013 when the suspect allegedly attempted to kill a businessman. He fled the scene and has been on the run since, evading law enforcement across Karnataka.
Mangalore City Police said the arrest was the result of a joint operation with the Karnataka Police Crime Branch. The suspect is now in custody and faces charges under the Indian Penal Code for attempted murder.
