Man shot by three attackers while returning from Ahiyapur night fair in Muzaffarpur

A 50‑year‑old man, Baiju Bhagat, was surrounded and shot by three unidentified men as he rode his bike back from a night fair in Ahiyapur, Muzaffarpur. The bullet passed through the palm of his left hand and he is receiving treatment at SKMCH.
Late at night in Ahiyapur, a suburb of Muzaffarpur, a 50‑year‑old resident named Baiju Bhagat was returning home on his motorcycle after attending a local fair. While riding through the outskirts, three men on a bike surrounded his vehicle and opened fire.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants fired multiple rounds, one of which struck Bhagat’s left hand, passing through the palm. He fell from the bike and sustained injuries that required immediate medical attention.
Bhagat was rushed to the Sir Sunderlal Hospital (SKMCH) where doctors are treating his wounds. Police have registered a criminal case, are canvassing the area for witnesses, and have launched an investigation to identify the three attackers.
Local authorities have appealed for anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
