A man was killed when rocks tumbled onto the Cheerbasa helipad, prompting authorities to suspend the Kedarnath pilgrimage temporarily.
A lone male pilgrim lost his life on Tuesday when a sudden rockslide struck the Cheerbasa helipad, a key access point for the Kedarnath trek in Uttarakhand. The incident occurred as the helipad was being used to ferry devotees and supplies to the high‑altitude shrine.
