Man Assaulted in Mohali Over Traffic Dispute, Breaks Arm, Gold Chain Allegedly Stolen

Police in Mohali have registered a case after a man was beaten for not yielding, resulting in a broken arm and a claim that his gold chain was taken.
Mohali police said a complaint was filed on Tuesday after a 30‑year‑old man was assaulted near the Phase‑III market area. According to the victim, a group of men confronted him when he failed to give way to their vehicle, and the confrontation escalated into a physical attack.
The victim sustained a fracture in his left arm and required medical attention at a local hospital. He also alleges that the assailants snatched a gold chain worth several thousand rupees during the melee.
Investigators have identified three suspects based on eyewitness statements and CCTV footage from nearby shops. All three have been placed on the police’s lookout list, and a case under sections of the Indian Penal Code relating to assault, grievous hurt and theft has been registered.
The police have appealed to the public for any additional information or video evidence that could help locate the accused. The investigation remains ongoing, and the victim is cooperating with authorities for further inquiries.
