The Maharashtra government’s task force on competitive examinations has received about 30,000 suggestions submitted by students and aspirants through its online portal.
The state government of Maharashtra has set up a dedicated task force to examine the conduct and structure of competitive examinations. In its first major outreach, the panel reported receiving roughly 30,000 suggestions from aspirants across the state.
The suggestions were submitted via an online portal launched earlier this year and cover a range of issues, including exam patterns, reservation policies, counseling procedures and the need for greater transparency. The task force, composed of senior education officials and subject‑matter experts, is tasked with reviewing these inputs.
Officials said the collected feedback will be analysed to draft recommendations for reforms before the next academic cycle. A comprehensive report is expected to be presented to the state cabinet later this year.
The initiative reflects growing concerns among students about fairness and clarity in both state and national level competitive exams, and aims to make the process more merit‑based and accessible.
