Maharashtra Sees 600,000+ New Voter Applications; Pune Leads with 56,605

Draft electoral rolls were released by the Maharashtra State Election Commission earlier this month, prompting a surge in voter registration applications. The commission announced that it has received over 600,000 new applications across the state. Pune emerged as the top city, with 56,605 applications, followed by other major cities. The high volume of registrations reflects growing voter engagement ahead of the upcoming elections. The commission will now verify the applications and update the final electoral rolls before the next phase of the election process.
