Maharashtra FDA Seizes Fake Medicines

In a major crackdown, the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has seized a large quantity of fake medicines and cosmetics. The raids, which took place over two months, resulted in the seizure of goods worth Rs 9.5 cr. A total of 88 locations were raided, leading to the filing of 20 First Information Reports (FIRs). The FDA's action is aimed at protecting public health by preventing the sale of spurious and counterfeit products. The seizures were made after thorough inspections and investigations by FDA officials.
