The Maharashtra Food Authority has suspended operations at three Domino’s outlets in Mumbai after discovering multiple food safety violations during inspections.

The Maharashtra Food Authority (FDA) has suspended the operations of three Domino’s Pizza outlets in Mumbai following an inspection that uncovered several food safety violations.

During the inspection, FDA officials identified breaches such as improper storage of ingredients, lack of temperature control, and non‑compliance with hygiene standards. The violations were deemed serious enough to warrant immediate closure.

The suspended outlets are located in the city’s central business district. The FDA has directed the franchise to rectify the issues before any reopening can be considered, and it may pursue further legal action if the problems persist.

Domino’s has not yet issued a statement regarding the suspension. The company’s parent, Domino’s Pizza Enterprises, has said it is cooperating with authorities to address any concerns.

The incident underscores the importance of strict adherence to food safety regulations in India’s fast‑food sector, especially amid growing consumer awareness.
