During a gathering in Ujjain, Mahamandaleshwar Paramhansa Dati Maharaj urged the implementation of a 'One Nation‑One Election' system and appealed to young people for support.
At a recent gathering of pilgrims in Ujjain, Mahamandaleshwar Paramhansa Dati Maharaj addressed the crowd and reiterated his long-standing demand for a "One Nation‑One Election" framework.
He argued that holding separate elections for the central and state governments leads to unnecessary expenditure of public resources and wastes valuable time, urging policymakers to adopt a unified electoral calendar.
Maharaj appealed directly to the youth present, asking them to champion the cause and mobilise support for the reform across the country.
The call comes amid ongoing debates in Parliament about synchronising election cycles, a move proponents say could streamline governance while critics warn of logistical challenges.
