On the last Monday of the Hindu month of Shravan, the Mahakal idol was ceremonially decorated in Madhya Pradesh, drawing thousands of devotees.
Madhya Pradesh witnessed a large gathering of devotees on the final Monday of Shravan as the Mahakal idol was ritually adorned. The event, observed by Hindu worshippers, featured traditional music, chanting of mantras and the application of sacred ornaments to the deity. Temple priests performed the customary puja, lighting incense and offering flowers as part of the ceremonial decoration.
The auspicious day, known as Shravan Somvar, holds special significance for Shiva devotees, who consider the adornment of Mahakal a symbol of divine grace. Organisers reported smooth crowd management, with security personnel and volunteers ensuring orderly conduct.
