A security flaw on Magadh University’s website may allow unauthorized access to approximately 2 terabytes of student records, according to a researcher.

Researchers discovered a vulnerability in Magadh University’s public website that could allow attackers to retrieve sensitive student information. The flaw, which involves improper input validation, may expose up to 2 terabytes of data, including personal details and academic records.

If exploited, the breach could compromise the privacy of thousands of students and potentially facilitate identity theft or fraud. The university’s IT department has been notified and is reportedly conducting a forensic review.

The state government’s cyber‑security unit has urged the university to patch the vulnerability immediately and to conduct a full audit of its data protection measures. No student has yet reported a data breach.

Until a fix is deployed, students are advised to monitor their personal accounts and report any suspicious activity to the university’s help desk.
