Madhya Pradesh to Train 10 IIT/NIT Engineers Annually for Cyber Security Experts

The Madhya Pradesh government announced a five‑year plan to train 10 engineering graduates each year from premier institutes, aiming to develop 50 cyber‑security specialists for protecting state e‑services.
The state government of Madhya Pradesh has launched a new initiative to bolster cyber security for its online services and data.
Under the scheme, each year ten engineering graduates from top technical institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and National Institutes of Technology (NIT) will undergo a one‑year intensive training program focused on protecting government digital infrastructure.
The program aims to create a specialised cyber‑security team, targeting fifty experts over a five‑year period. Graduates will be deployed to monitor and defend state portals, databases and other critical systems against cyber threats.
Officials said the training will combine classroom instruction, hands‑on labs and real‑world incident response simulations, overseen by the state’s IT department in collaboration with the selected institutes.
The initiative reflects growing concerns over cyber attacks on public services and seeks to ensure Madhya Pradesh’s digital initiatives remain secure and trustworthy.
