The India Meteorological Department has issued warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall across Madhya Pradesh. Nine districts are on alert for extremely heavy downpours, while 20 others, including Indore, are expected to receive significant rainfall.

Monsoon activity has intensified across Madhya Pradesh, with the Meteorological Department issuing a significant rainfall alert for Sunday. Nine districts have been placed on high alert for extremely heavy rainfall, indicating potential for severe weather conditions.

In addition to the nine high-alert districts, a warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for 20 other districts across the state. Indore is among the cities expected to experience substantial downpours. This widespread heavy rainfall raises concerns about localized flooding and disruption to normal life.

The continuous rain has already led to rivers and streams overflowing in several districts. This has resulted in the disruption of road connectivity in affected areas, impacting transportation and access.
