The JAM portal, a government platform for public procurement, has been at the center of scrutiny after a viral video surfaced showing significant price variations in construction projects. The video, which has circulated widely on social media, points to potential irregularities in the bidding and award processes. In response, Pratima Bagri, the state’s Housing and Urban Development Minister, called for a comprehensive, high‑level investigation to examine the procurement records and ensure transparency. The state government has pledged to set up an independent committee and is expected to release a report within the next 30 days.
