The Madhya Pradesh High Court rejected an appeal and confirmed the district court's decision, keeping Rav Pushpendrasinh in charge of the Omkareshwar temple trust.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court, sitting in a bench led by Justice Vivek Jain, has upheld the appointment of Rav Pushpendrasinh as the manager‑trustee of the Omkareshwar temple trust. The court dismissed the petition filed by Rav Vinay Pratapsinh, who had challenged the earlier decision of the Khanda district court.
In its order, the bench affirmed that the district court's ruling was legally sound and that there was no merit in the appeal. Consequently, Rav Pushpendrasinh will continue to oversee the administration and financial affairs of the historic Omkareshwar temple complex.
The judgment reinforces the existing governance structure of the trust, which is responsible for managing pilgrim facilities, temple rituals, and related charitable activities. No further legal challenges have been reported as of now.
Stakeholders, including devotees and local authorities, have welcomed the clarity provided by the High Court, emphasizing the importance of stable management for one of the country's prominent pilgrimage sites.
