Madhya Pradesh government ramps up recruitment, 35% more posts advertised in July‑August after Jantar Mantar protests

Madhya Pradesh’s state administration reported a sharp increase in job openings for the July‑August period, with the number of advertised posts rising by about 35 percent compared with the same timeframe last year. The surge follows a series of protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where job seekers demanded faster and larger recruitment drives from state governments.

Officials said the additional vacancies span a range of departments, from administrative services to technical and support roles, and are being processed through the state’s regular recruitment channels. The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) is expected to oversee the selection process and ensure transparency.

The government has not disclosed the exact total number of new posts, but the percentage rise indicates a concerted effort to address the employment concerns raised by the demonstrators. Recruitment advertisements are now appearing on official portals and newspapers, inviting applications from eligible candidates across the state.
