The Madhya Pradesh Drug Administration sealed a medical store in Bunda, Sagar district after discovering the illegal online sale of 120 strips of Viagra‑100 without prescriptions or billing records.

The Drug Administration Department of Madhya Pradesh conducted a surprise raid on a medical store in Bunda, a town in the Sagar district, on Tuesday. Inspectors found evidence that the outlet was involved in the unauthorised online distribution of the erectile‑dysfunction drug Viagra‑100.

During the inspection, officials recovered 120 strips of the medication that had been sold without any prescription, invoice or cash memo, indicating a clear breach of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. The store had been offering the product through digital platforms, bypassing the mandatory documentation required for such medicines.

The department issued a formal notice to the proprietor, sealing the premises and confiscating the seized stock. Authorities warned that such illegal trade not only violates regulatory norms but also poses serious health risks to consumers.

Further legal action, including possible prosecution under the relevant drug laws, is being pursued. The raid underscores the administration’s intensified efforts to curb the black‑market sale of prescription drugs in the state.
