Meritorious 12th‑grade students in Madhya Pradesh will receive cash today under the Chief Minister’s Scooter Scheme, provided they have scored at least 70% and topped their school.

The Madhya Pradesh government will distribute monetary assistance today to students who topped their 12th‑standard examinations, as part of the Chief Minister’s Scooter Scheme. The scheme, launched to encourage academic excellence and facilitate mobility for higher‑education students, stipulates that beneficiaries must have secured a minimum of 70 % marks and be the top scorer in their respective schools. The amount, which varies by district, will be handed over at designated district collector offices, with officials confirming that the disbursement follows the same procedure used in previous phases of the programme. State officials said the initiative aims to reduce the financial burden on families of high‑performing students and to promote continued study, especially for those moving to colleges away from home. The distribution is scheduled to begin this morning in Bhopal and other district headquarters, with the government urging eligible students to present their mark‑cards and school certificates for verification.
