Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, while wishing Madhya Pradesh residents a happy Diwali, highlighted that integrating animal husbandry and milk production with agriculture can raise farmers' earnings.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav joined Governor Mangubhai Patel in extending Diwali greetings to the people of the state on the festive occasion. In his address, the CM emphasized that the traditional focus on crop cultivation must be complemented by animal husbandry and dairy activities to enhance farm profitability.
He noted that the state’s agricultural policy already supports livestock rearing and milk processing, and urged farmers to adopt these practices to diversify income sources. Yadav said that such integration would not only improve earnings but also create additional employment in rural areas.
The governor also conveyed his best wishes and reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the agrarian community through schemes that promote sustainable farming and dairy development.
The remarks come ahead of the upcoming agricultural season, as the state seeks to boost rural prosperity and food security.
