Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Announces ₹1,750 Raksha Bandhan Gift under Ladli Behna Yojana

On Raksha Bandhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer ₹1,750 to the accounts of women beneficiaries as the 39th instalment of the Ladli Behna Yojana.
The Madhya Pradesh government’s Ladli Behna Yojana, which targets more than 1.25 crore women across the state, is set to release its 39th instalment on Wednesday. The scheme, launched to provide financial assistance to women from economically weaker sections, regularly credits beneficiaries’ bank accounts with a fixed amount.
In a special move timed with the festival of Raksha Bandhan, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that an additional ₹1,750 will be transferred to each eligible woman’s account as a festive gift. The transfer will be processed on the day of the festival, ensuring that the funds are available for use during the celebrations.
The extra amount is intended to reinforce the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment and to support families during a culturally significant occasion. Officials said the disbursement will be carried out through the existing digital payment channels used for the scheme, minimizing any delay.
State authorities expect the gesture to be well received, as it combines the regular benefits of the Ladli Behna Yojana with a culturally resonant token of appreciation for women on Raksha Bandhan.
