Chief Minister Mohan Yadav unveiled a ₹540 crore plan to upgrade roads, develop a riverfront at Varaman Ghat on the Narmada, and build a Gita Bhawan, aiming to integrate Narsinghpur into the Jabalpur metropolitan region.
Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh – In a development‑focused address, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a comprehensive infrastructure package worth ₹540 crore aimed at bringing Narsinghpur into the Jabalpur metropolitan area. The plan includes a major road‑upgradation project that will create a direct, high‑quality link between the two districts, facilitating smoother commuter and freight movement.
The package also earmarks funds for a riverfront development at Varaman Ghat on the Narmada River, intended to boost tourism and provide a recreational space for residents. Additionally, a Gita Bhawan is slated for construction in the district, reflecting cultural and educational aspirations.
State officials said the upgraded corridor will reduce travel time, attract investment, and support regional economic growth. The projects are expected to commence within the next few months, with detailed project reports already submitted to the relevant ministries.
