Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will join the midnight Mahaarati at Sandiapni Ashram on Janmashtami, marking the first Rohini Nakshatra celebration in 15 years, with a grand Nandotsav planned for the following day.
The Sandiapni Ashram in Madhya Pradesh is preparing for a rare Janmashtami observance that coincides with the Rohini Nakshatra, a celestial alignment that has not occurred at the shrine for fifteen years. Devotees will gather for the traditional midnight Mahaarati, scheduled for 12 a.m., to honor Lord Krishna's birth.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, accompanied by his family, is expected to take part in the ceremony, underscoring the event’s political and cultural significance. Organisers have arranged a special Krishna Darbar adorned with peacock‑feather costumes, reflecting the festive mood.
Following the Mahaarati, the ashram will host a lavish Nandotsav on Janmashtami’s next day, featuring devotional music, cultural performances and communal meals for the attending faithful.
