Authorities have sealed the Maa Ganga Bungy jump facility after uncovering multiple safety lapses, according to Pioneer Edge.
Local officials have ordered the closure of the Maa Ganga Bungy jump site after a series of safety deficiencies were identified. The decision follows an inspection that highlighted gaps in equipment maintenance, operator training, and emergency response protocols.
The site, which attracted adventure tourists seeking a thrill on the Ganga River banks, was sealed to prevent any further risk to visitors. Authorities emphasized that the shutdown is a precautionary measure until the operator can demonstrate compliance with national safety standards.
Pioneer Edge reported that the closure aims to protect public safety and urges similar adventure operators to review their safety procedures. No incidents have been reported so far, but the preventive action reflects growing scrutiny of adventure tourism safety across the country.
