The electoral roll update in Ludhiana district has reached 98% completion, officials say, as the state prepares for upcoming polls.
Ludhiana, Punjab – Election officials announced that the revision of the voter list in Ludhiana district is now 98% complete. The update, part of a nationwide effort to clean and refresh electoral rolls, involves adding newly eligible voters, correcting address details and removing names of deceased or ineligible individuals.
The remaining 2% of the work is expected to be wrapped up in the coming weeks, ahead of the scheduled state and national elections. Authorities have urged citizens to verify their details on the online portal and submit any corrections before the final deadline.
The near‑completion of the roll revision is seen as a step toward ensuring a more accurate and inclusive voter base, reducing the chances of duplicate entries and enhancing the credibility of the upcoming polls.
