In the investigation of Shiva Sharma's murder, key officers from Hazratganj police station have been reassigned after authorities found they failed to trace model Shraddha Dubey, a suspect linked to the case.
The murder of businessman Shiva Sharma has drawn intense scrutiny, with investigators pointing to model Shraddha Dubey as a key suspect. Police from Hazratganj station were tasked with locating Dubey but were unable to produce any evidence linking her to the crime scene.
Following a review of the investigation, the Uttar Pradesh Police Department decided to reassign the officers involved, citing a failure to meet procedural standards in tracing Dubey. The move is intended to restore public confidence in the probe.
The reassignment comes amid growing pressure from Sharma's family and media outlets demanding a thorough and transparent investigation. Police officials have assured that the case will continue with renewed focus and that all relevant leads will be pursued.
Law enforcement authorities have also announced additional resources will be allocated to the Hazratganj unit to prevent future lapses in investigative procedures.
