Low Pressure System Brings Rainy Days Ahead of Durga Puja in Kolkata

A low pressure system is forecast to bring rain to Kolkata in the coming days, just before the start of the Durga Puja festivities. The weather bulletin from Asianet Newsable indicates that the system will bring scattered showers across the city, with chances of heavier rainfall in the eastern and southern districts. Residents and devotees are advised to plan their puja activities accordingly, as the rain could affect the arrangement of pandals and processions. Meteorological authorities have issued a moderate weather alert, urging people to stay updated with local forecasts and avoid unnecessary travel during peak rainfall hours. The forecast remains subject to change as the low pressure system evolves, and updates will be provided by the Kolkata Meteorological Department.
