A lightning strike hit an IndiGo aircraft on the Patna‑Lucknow route, damaging its nose but leaving all 104 passengers and six crew members unharmed.
A commercial IndiGo flight operating between Patna and Lucknow was struck by lightning while cruising, causing visible damage to the aircraft's nose section. The incident occurred mid‑air, and the crew promptly reported the event to air traffic control.
Despite the structural damage, the pilots were able to maintain control of the aircraft. No injuries were reported among the 104 passengers and six crew members on board, and all remained calm throughout the emergency.
