Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said the youth are Jammu & Kashmir’s greatest asset and appealed for a drug‑free lifestyle to safeguard the region’s progress.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, in a statement reported by Daily Excelsior, highlighted that the youth constitute the core strength of Jammu & Kashmir. He warned that drug abuse could undermine the region’s social fabric and economic development.

Sinha urged young people to reject narcotics and to channel their energy towards education, skill development and community service. He emphasized that a drug‑free generation is essential for maintaining peace and fostering growth in the state.

The LG also called on families, schools and local authorities to work together in creating awareness and providing support systems that keep young citizens away from substance abuse.

By reinforcing the message that the future of Jammu & Kashmir rests on its young population, Sinha aimed to inspire collective responsibility across society to protect and empower the next generation.
