Landslide in Rimbi, Sikkim, Damages Multiple Houses

A major landslide struck the village of Rimbi in Sikkim earlier this week, damaging several houses. The steep slopes of the region, combined with recent heavy rainfall, are believed to have triggered the slide. Local residents reported that the debris displaced roofs and partially collapsed walls in at least five homes. Rescue teams from the Sikkim Disaster Management Authority have begun clearing the area and are assessing the extent of the damage.
