From October 2, the Janagar‑Patna Namo Bharat Rapid will stop at Laheriasarai for two minutes, followed by the Jogbani‑Danapur Intercity Express from October 5.
The Indian Railways has approved short halts at Laheriasarai station in Darbhanga district. Starting 2 October, the Janagar‑Patna Namo Bharat Rapid will pause for two minutes, and from 5 October the Jogbani‑Danapur Intercity Express will receive a similar two‑minute stop.
Both trains will resume their journeys after the brief pause, allowing passengers to board or alight without a full station stop. The decision was announced by regional railway officials and reported by local media.
Rail commuters from Darbhanga and surrounding areas are expected to benefit from the added convenience, as Laheriasarai serves as a key access point for many daily travelers. The brief halts aim to improve connectivity without disrupting the overall timetable.
Authorities indicated that the move is part of broader efforts to enhance passenger services on regional routes, responding to local demand for more flexible boarding options.
