Ladakh Governor Sinha Praises Article 370 Abrogation for Granting Citizens Freedom and Rights

Ladakh Governor Sinha hailed the abrogation of Article 370 as a turning point that has liberated ordinary citizens from fear and granted them rights that had been denied for decades.
The abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu & Kashmir, was declared on August 5, 2019. Since then, the region has seen changes in governance and integration with the rest of India.
Governor Sinha, speaking at a press conference, said the move has removed the sense of fear among residents and opened up opportunities for them to access various rights and services.
He highlighted that the abrogation has led to increased investment, improved infrastructure, and greater participation of citizens in political and economic processes.
The governor also urged the central and state governments to continue efforts to ensure that the benefits reach all sections of society and that the region's development is inclusive.
