Kisan Vikas Kendra in Dimapur marked World Food Day with a program at Dhansiripar, engaging local farmers and community members.
On 16 October, the Kisan Vikas Kendra (KVK) in Dimapur organized a World Food Day event at the Dhansiripar farm. The program brought together farmers, local officials and community volunteers to celebrate the global day dedicated to food security.
The highlight of the day was a series of interactive workshops on sustainable farming practices, seed preservation and nutrition. Demonstrations of modern irrigation techniques and composting were also showcased to encourage adoption of eco‑friendly methods.
KVK officials said the event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of food security and to motivate farmers to adopt innovative techniques that can increase yield and resilience.
The chief officer of KVK Dimapur, Mr. R. Singh, thanked the participants and pledged continued support for farmer training and development initiatives across the region.
