Batter Kumar Kushagra has been named in the Indian squad, marking his first call‑up after impressive domestic displays.
Kumar Kushagra, a right‑handed batter who has been a regular feature in domestic cricket, has been included in the senior Indian team for the first time. The selection comes after a series of consistent scores in the Ranji Trophy and other domestic tournaments, which caught the attention of national selectors.
Cricket analysts note that Kushagra's ability to play long innings and adapt to different conditions has been a key factor in his elevation. His performances this season placed him among the top run‑scorers, prompting the board to give him an opportunity at the international level.
The call‑up is expected to provide Kushandra with exposure to the rigors of international cricket and could see him debut in upcoming bilateral series or tournaments. The cricketing fraternity will be watching closely to see how the new entrant handles the pressure of representing India.
Kushagra expressed gratitude for the selection, emphasizing his commitment to work hard and contribute to the team's success. The board has not yet announced the exact fixtures in which he will feature, but his inclusion signals a fresh option for India's batting line‑up.
