India’s left‑arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has climbed into the top five of the ICC’s ODI bowler rankings, marking his highest placement to date.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) released its latest player rankings this week, and India’s left‑arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has moved up to the top five among ODI bowlers. The new position places him among the elite pace and spin options worldwide and represents his best ranking since entering the international arena.
Kuldeep’s ascent reflects a string of effective performances in recent One Day Internationals, where his ability to take wickets while maintaining a tight economy has been praised by analysts. The rise in points has propelled him ahead of several established bowlers, underscoring his growing importance in India’s limited‑overs setup.
The improvement is likely to boost his confidence ahead of upcoming series and tournaments, where India will rely on his left‑arm spin to provide variety and breakthroughs. Team management and fans alike view his top‑five entry as a positive sign for the side’s bowling depth.
