Kuki Community Calls for Investigation into Woman's Murder in Kamjong, Manipur

The Kuki community in Manipur has publicly demanded a comprehensive investigation into the murder of a woman in Kamjong district. The community, which has long been active in local civic matters, expressed frustration over the perceived lack of official action and called for a transparent inquiry.

Representatives of the Kuki community met with local officials, presenting their concerns and urging the state police and investigative agencies to launch a formal probe. They highlighted the need for justice for the victim and for the community’s confidence in law‑enforcement processes.

The demand comes amid growing calls for accountability in several recent incidents involving tribal communities in the region. Local leaders emphasized that a prompt investigation would help prevent further unrest and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
