All‑rounder Krunal Pandya has been appointed captain of India's seven‑player squad for the 2026 Hong Kong Sixes tournament.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Krunal Pandya will lead a seven‑member Indian side at the Hong Kong Sixes 2026. The fast‑paced, six‑a‑side competition is scheduled to be held in Hong Kong later this year, featuring short matches that test players' versatility.
Pandya, known for his all‑round capabilities in limited‑overs cricket, will assume the captaincy duties for the compact squad. The selection underscores the BCCI's intent to field a balanced team capable of adapting to the tournament's rapid format.
The seven‑player roster will compete against other international sides in a series of quick matches, with the aim of showcasing India's depth in the shortest version of the game.
