Residents of Kota will face a scheduled four‑hour power cut today as maintenance work on transmission lines targets the Talwandi, Subhash Nagar and Sogaria areas.
The local electricity department has announced a planned four‑hour power outage in Kota today to carry out essential line maintenance. The shutdown is slated to begin in the early morning and is expected to be completed by early afternoon.
Affected localities include Talwandi, Subhash Nagar and Sogaria, where households and commercial establishments will be without supply for the duration of the work. Residents have been advised to switch off appliances, keep refrigerators closed and arrange alternative lighting.
Businesses, schools and health centres in the three zones are urged to make contingency arrangements, as the outage may disrupt normal operations. The department has assured that emergency services will remain functional throughout the maintenance period.
Once the work is finished, power will be restored gradually across the affected areas. Consumers can contact the customer helpline for any queries or to report issues after the supply resumes.
