Kishanganj to Get State-of-the-Art 600-Seat Auditorium Worth ₹19 Crore

The Bihar government has approved the construction of a new auditorium at the Khagda Mela Ground in Kishanganj. The facility will feature central air‑conditioning, modern audio‑visual equipment and seating for more than 600 attendees, catering to cultural, educational and civic events.

Estimated project costs are projected between ₹18 crore and ₹19 crore, with funding sourced from state development schemes. The structure is slated to be completed within the next 12‑18 months, according to officials.

Local authorities anticipate that the auditorium will boost community engagement, provide a venue for school functions, seminars and regional festivals, and contribute to the town’s infrastructure growth.

The project reflects the state’s broader push to upgrade public amenities in smaller districts, aiming to bridge the urban‑rural gap in cultural infrastructure.
